Cork College of FET- Bishopstown Campus proudly celebrated the achievements of learners at a graduation ceremony held on June 26th The event marked the successful completion of a wide range of part-time programmes, reaffirming the Campus commitment to upskilling, reskilling, and lifelong learning.
The graduates represented a diverse mix of learners, including those pursuing career changes, enhancing their current roles, or returning to education through Skills to Compete and Skills to Advance initiatives. Courses were delivered through both day and evening formats, offering flexible learning opportunities to suit a variety of needs.
Graduates were recognised across a broad spectrum of disciplines, including Business, Hospitality, Sustainability, and Welding.
Valerie Cowman, Campus Leader, Cork College of FET- Bishopstown Campus, praised the graduates for their achievement
“I want to acknowledge the time and effort you have put into completing the programme. It takes courage to take on a programme of learning, especially when working full time and balancing the demands of work, home and study. Congratulations to you all on your achievement today.”
Speaking at the event, Denis Leamy, Chief Executive of Cork ETB commended all those attending for their commitment to lifelong learning and upskilling. He commented:
“Well done to you all for taking on this course of study. I urge you all to continue on your lifelong journeys. Learning is lifelong and in Cork ETB and Cork College of FET, we pride ourselves on providing flexible options for upskilling while working and a pathway for every learner. This programme has put you on a path- keep going onto the next step”
