Westside Hospitality Centre is a centre of excellence for the reskilling and upskilling needs of the Hospitality industry in Cork. The Centre opened in 2019 and is located in Westside Business park on the Model Farm Road.
The Centre has two primary focuses:
- To provide training for new entrants into the hospitality sector in the Cork region, including apprenticeship programmes.
- To provide upskilling and reskilling opportunities to existing employees of the hospitality industry.
Westside is renowned within the industry for it’s state of the art equipment, knowledgeable staff and hands on training. The centre has three commercial training kitchens, two training restaurants, a training bar, a barista training room and an accommodation training suite. Each programme covers theory and practical aspects of learning underpinned by international recognised professional qualifications, equipping students with all they need for their hospitality career.
Erasmus+ Programme:
Westside has an Erasmus+ partnership with Le Fontanil Training Centre in France.
Each year a group of Commis Chef and Craft Butchery Apprentices go on a two week work placement to Le Fontanil. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience another culture and to learn from international industry experts and further develop professional skills.
World Chef:
Westside Hospitality Centre is accredited by the World Association of Chef Societies. This prestigious award reflects that Westside provides the highest standard of culinary education.

Westside Hospitality Centre is on the 220 and 205 bus route. The 220 bus stop is adjacent to Westside. The 205 bus stop is within walking distance.
